Frances Christine Fain, 70, passed away on September 22, 2026, at Harrodsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Born on November 30, 1955, in Versailles, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Harris Fain and Hazel Bell Pruitt Fain.

Frances was a graduate of Woodford County High School and retired as the assistant manager of McDonald's in Harrodsburg. In her younger years, she enjoyed working on cars and had a knack for keeping busy with things she enjoyed. She loved crocheting, working puzzle books, drawing, and singing along to her favorite music. Frances especially cherished her time as "Nanny" to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching M.A.S.H. and westerns.

Along with her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her brothers, Grovie Fain and Robert Bogie; and a granddaughter, Sahara Nelson.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Melissa Nelson (Kenny); three grandsons, Anthanay Nelson, Jordin Nelson, and Travas Nelson; and her siblings, Sheila Newman, Thelma Blevins, Ronnie Fain, and Donna Hopper.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, with Bro. Joey Hightower officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service. Cremation will take place following the service.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Fain, Anthanay Nelson, Jordin Nelson, Travas Nelson, Kenny Nelson, Eric Hamner, and Billy Nelson.
