Floyd Thomas Taylor, 72, of Lawrenceburg passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at his residence. He is the husband of Cecilia Raper Taylor. A former resident of Clinton, IL, Floyd has lived in Lawrenceburg for 38 years.

Born Sept. 1, 1942 in Gravel Switch, KY, he is the son of the late Joel Oscar and Fannie Mae Upthegrove Taylor. He was a former employee of Sylvania in Versailles.

Along with his wife, he is survived by six children, Tamara Lynn Taylor of IL, Mattie Ruth Robinson and Julie Renee Rees, both of Lawrenceburg, Earl Thomas Taylor and Robert Dwayne Taylor, both of IL, and Joshua Adam Taylor of Salvisa, KY; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Gail Huffman of IL, Lora Katherine Clem of Junction City; and a brother, James Louis Taylor of Lawrenceburg.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Hardin, and a brother William Stuart Taylor.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, Dec. 4th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 Wednesday.

Garrett Taylor, Spencer Sherrill, Adam Taylor, Steve Corn, David Sams, and Jason Brucker will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be Mike Forbes, Allen Sparrow, and Moose Cummins.
