Fannie Lavon Lewis Hawkins, 89, widow of Paul Stewart Hawkins, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born March 26, 1927 in Washington County, Lavon was the daughter of the late Nick and Melissa Ann Lewis. She was also predeceased by six sisters and six brothers.

A homemaker, Lavon was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Sunshine Sunday School Class, the WMU, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Hamilton Chapter #293. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and working in her flowers.

Lavon is survived by her son, Paul Lewis (Teresa) Hawkins of Lawrenceburg, a step daughter, Patsy Hawkins Weick of Frankfort, and her special friend, Elwood Drury of Lawrenceburg.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Hamrick and Dr. Bob Ehr officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM Wednesday. Eastern Star Rites will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening.
