Obituary

Eunice Rae Seay Goodlett, 80, wife of 65 years to Robert Carlisle Goodlett, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Born December 15, 1939 in Spencer County, KY, Eunice was the daughter of the late Carl David Seay and Maude Nation Seay.

Along with her parents, Eunice was predeceased by a sister, Vicki Bolin, and five brothers, David Dean Seay, Larry L. Seay, Mark Seay, Carl T. Seay, and Jackie L. Seay.

Eunice was a former employee of the Library & Archives for KY State Government and a former employee of Adecco Corporation.  She was a member of the Alton Christian Church and a former member of the Bloomfield Methodist Church.

Including her husband, Eunice is survived by her six children, Dr. Robert Wayne (wife Sherry) Goodlett of Lawrenceburg, Rev. Darrell Ray (wife Vicki Jo) Goodlett of Bardstown, Rhonda Faye (Husband Noal Jr.) Cotton of Lawrenceburg, Rebecca Lee (husband Mike) Brooks of Lawrenceburg, Dana Carlisle (wife Robin) Goodlett of Lawrenceburg, and Luetta (husband Rogie) Hale of Lawrenceburg; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a brother, Ricky Seay of Cox's Creek; a sister, Carolyn Walker of Bardstown; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 19 th beginning at 1:00 at the Alton Christian Church, 1686 Old Frankfort Rd., Lawrenceburg, KY.  Bro. Noal Cotton, Jr. and Lex Goodlett will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Wednesday and 11 – 1 Thursday, all at the Alton Christian Church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Huang, Shane Goodlett, Daniel Goodlett, Zachary Cotton, Austin Hale, Charlie Hale, AJ Goodlett, Noah Goodlett, and Jason Brooks.  Honorary bearers will be Dr. Jessica Mendel, Staci Spaulding, Bethany Goodlett, Rachael Barnett, and Allison Lawson.

Memorials in memory of Eunice Goodlett are suggested to the Alton Christian Church, 1686 Old Frankfort Rd., Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
