Eugene L. Taylor, 71, of Louisville passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at his residence. He was born Nov. 21, 1942 in Anderson County, KY to the late Luther Delbert and Bertha Mae Coffey Taylor.

Eugene was a former employee of Ford Motors and served 3 years in the U.S. Army as a SP5 during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife Carrie Kinnes Taylor; two children, Renee (LeRoy) Roth of Bowling Green and Eugene "Gene" Taylor of FL; a step daughter, Deborah (Paul) Reichert of Louisville; 6 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; a sister Linda Lou Thomas of Louisville; a brother Winfred Ray (Frances) Taylor of Jeffersonville, IN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Tina Murray and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, May 30th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greens Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Nelson County, KY. Visitation will be Friday from 10 am – 2 pm.
