Ethan Slater Howard, beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, died Saturday, January 21, 2017 at his home in Columbus, OH at the age of 21.

Born January 7, 1996 in Salisbury, England, he was the son of Wayne Howard, Lexington, and Christy Leaver, Versailles. He was a 2014 graduate of Woodford County High School. He worked at Pies & Pints in Lexington before recently transferring to Columbus, Ohio.

He is survived by his parents and step-parents, Wayne and Anna Howard, and Christy Leaver and Randy Philpot; paternal grandparents, Tony and Susan Howard; step-grandparents, Ray and Wanda Philpot; one sister, Elaina Howard; two brothers, Landon and Liam Philpot; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Patricia Leaver.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28 ^th at 2pm at St. John's Episcopal Church, Versailles, Kentucky. Ethan had a big heart and was always quick to help anyone in need, often thinking of others before himself. Ethan's family requests random acts of kindness to others in lieu of flowers.
