Emma Monroe Williams, 94, widow of Paul Williams, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Baptist Health Lexington. Born March 18, 1922 in Anderson County, KY, Emma was the daughter of the late Cly Delbert and Ella Katherine Smithey Monroe.

Along with her husband and parents, Emma was preceded in death by three sisters, Wanda Proctor, Estelle Whitton, and Juanita Driskell, and five brothers, Cly Delbert Monroe, Jr., William G. Monroe, John L. Monroe, Gilbert Monroe, and Charles Monroe.

A graduate of Lawrenceburg City High, Mrs. Williams was a housewife and a member of the Lawrenceburg First Christian Church.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, Tony Paul (his wife Diana) Williams of Dayton, OH; two granddaughters, Kelley (Russell) Doyle of Columbus, OH and Kristin (Tom) Combs of Victor, Idaho; two great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Natalie Doyle; and her sister, Kitty Bowen of Lawrenceburg.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 30th beginning at 2:00 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 – 2 PM Sunday.
