LAWRENCEBURG – Elsie B. Scrogham Wells, 93, of Salvisa, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at her home. She is the widow of Clifton Wells and daughter of the late Oscar and Sillie Taylor Scrogham.

Mrs. Wells was born August 28, 1921 in Washington County, KY. She was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Christian Church.

Mrs. Wells is survived by three children, Donnie C. (Jayne) Wells and Jackie Lynn (Christie) Wells, Sr., all of Lawrenceburg, and Joyce Wells (Maurice) Baker of Tucson, AZ; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Alpha Kemp of Georgia. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Gene Wells and two brothers, Wayne and Charles Scrogham.

Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bill Robinson and Hospice chaplain Daryl Hahn officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 pm Monday.

Lynn Wells, Loren Wells, James Young, Joseph Webber, David and Darrell Waterfill will serve as pallbearers. Neil Wells, Tyler Hembree, Clayton Webber, Jim Wells, and Allan Kays will serve as honorary bearers.
