** Due to the weather, the service for Ellen O'Nan will be held inside the Sand Spring Baptist Church sanctuary beginning at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 28, 2021.

Ellen Jean Helton O'Nan, 61, wife of Ronnie M. O'Nan, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Signature Healthcare at Heritage Hall.  Born October 26, 1959 in Frankfort, Ellen was the daughter of the late Donald Helton and Della Hulker Helton.

Along with her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Helton.

A graduate of Franklin County High School and a housewife, Ellen was a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church where she previously served as head of the Prayer Ministry and taught the Young Adult Sunday School Class.  Ellen loved taking walks, often walking 4 miles a day.  She was known for the baking of her sour dough bread, but mainly for her faith and love of her family.

Including Ronnie, her loving husband of 41 years, Ellen is survived by her children, Timothy James "T.J." O'Nan and his wife Laura and Jennifer Lee and her husband Anthony, both of Lawrenceburg; her four grandchildren, Isiah and Hannah Lee, Ellery and Lyle O'Nan; a sister, Vickie Caudill and her husband Jeff of Frankfort; her mother-in-law, Georgia O'Nan of Frankfort; and a brother-in-law, Larry O'Nan and his wife Lois of Frankfort.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 28 ^th at the Sand Spring Cemetery pavilion with Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating.  Services are under the direction of the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.
