Ella Belle Overstreet Baxter, 103, of Lawrenceburg passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Lawrenceburg. She was the widow Luther Baxter and daughter of the late William Thomas and Margaret Jane Bixler Overstreet. She was preceded in death by two children, Jeannie Shields and Luther Baxter, Jr.

Mrs. Baxter was born Oct. 31, 1911 in Anderson County, KY. A retired Universal Fasteners employee, Mrs. Baxter was one of the oldest and a very faithful member of the First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Baxter is survived by a son-in-law Hubert Shields, Lawrenceburg, a daughter-in-law Beulah Baxter, SC, 5 grandchildren, Sherrill (Wayne) Stockton, Doug (Cherie) Shields, Debbie (Bill) Huggins, Anne (Joe) Johnson, and John (Brenda) Baxter; 8 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; two nieces, Jane (Jack) Spencer, SC, Nancy W. (Stewart) Brown, Lawrenceburg; four nephews, Lawrence (Alma) Warford, FL, John R. (Shirley) Warford, CO, Bobby (Yuki) Warford, Radcliff, KY, and Alton (Betty) Warford, Lawrenceburg; two nephews wives, Mary "Blondie" Warford and Billie Warford, both of Lawrenceburg.

Along with her husband, parents, and children, Mrs. Baxter was preceded in death by a sister Stella Overstreet Warford, and six nephews Davis Warford, Marshall Warford, Walter Warford, Hollie Warford, Jr., Norman Earl Warford, and Allen Eugene Warford.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, Jan. 18th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Ehr and Bro. George Dye officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 Saturday.

Doug Shields, Wayne Stockton, Gregg Brown, Kevin Brown, Mark Warford, Adam Warford, Davy Warford, and Dave Booth will serve as pallbearers.
