Elizabeth Gay Green Renfro, 72, of Frankfort, widow of Ernest Everett Renfro, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the University of Louisville Hospital.

Born December 20, 1942 in Midway, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jesse James and Sally Carter Green. She was a former employee of H.K. Porter and a member of the West Frankfort Church of God. Her many enjoyments included U.K. Basketball and line dancing.

She is survived by two sons, Ernest E. "Bud" Renfro, II of Frankfort and Daniel (Julie Gould) Renfro of Versailles; 4 grandchildren, Stephen W. Renfro, Heather Michelle Goldman, Alta Danielle Jeffries, and Christopher Adam Renfro; 6 great grandchildren; two sisters, Charlene (Ronnie) Harmon of Lawrenceburg, Betty Sowers of Science Hill, Bill (Nannie) Green of MO, David (Alma) Green of TX, and Buddy (Myrtle) Green of SC.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Daphne Kay Renfro, a brother Junior Green, and two sisters Gladys Smith and Kay Kay Green.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, January 7th at West Frankfort Church of God. Bro. Wade Hughes will officiate. Visitation will be after 1 pm Wednesday at the church.
