Edwin Isaacs Funeral Service Broadcast

Edwin Harrison Isaacs, 64, husband of 36 years to Carla Lee Key Isaacs, passed away, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at his home in Lawrenceburg, KY. Born in Somerset, KY on August 7, 1960, Edwin was the son of the late Edwin Harrison Isaacs and Jane Fowler Isaacs and was raised by his late grandmother, Lula Isaacs.

Edwin graduated from Pulaski County High School, and soon after met his wife Carla. He was a dedicated mailman for the United States Postal Service for 36 years, who loved to pet animals on his route. Edwin and his family moved to Lawrenceburg in 2000, from Lexington, where they quickly became members of Sand Spring Baptist Church, and then he went on to be a member of Life Issues Sunday School Class. He never once met a stranger, and will be remembered as a social butterfly, no matter the circumstances he could always make you laugh. Edwin was a massive sports fan cheering on many teams including, UK football and basketball teams, the Anderson County Bearcats, the Buffalo Bills, and the Denver Broncos. He was an avid Spiderman enthusiast and music was one of his greatest passions, he loved listening to many bands including; Queen, Van Halen, Beatles, and Led Zeppelin. He loved his family dearly and would show it everyday through his kind heart and laughter.

Including his wife Carla, Edwin is survived by his daughter, Jacy Lynn Isaacs (fiancé Dixon Chase Darling); six aunts and uncles who were like siblings, Carolyn Burton, Doris Dills, Betty Howard, Wayne Isaacs (Valinda), Jerry Isaacs, and Barbara Isaacs; his cousin who was like a brother, Willie Bales (Jackie), and many other cousins.

Along with his parents and grandmother, he was preceded in death by aunts and uncles who were like his siblings, Faye Gridler (Bob) and Gerald Isaacs.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service on Saturday. Cremation will follow.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Life Issues Sunday School Class at Sand Spring Baptist Church.
