Eddie Ray Stevens, 69, husband of Kitty Jane Royalty Stevens, passed away January 3, 2024 at his home in Anderson County. Born in Shelbyville, KY on April 9, 1954, Eddie was the son of Edward Burton Stevens and Emma Jean Stinnett Stevens.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Kay Stevens Thor.

A 1972 graduate of Western Anderson High School, Eddie received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Kentucky in 1977.  He worked as a farmer and was the owner and salesman for Stevens Construction.   A Kentucky Colonel, Eddie was a lifetime member and leader at Van Buren Church of Christ and served as a commissioner with South Anderson Water Board since 2013.

Including Kitty, his wife of 49 years, he is survived by two daughters, Brook Danielle Stevens (husband Josh) Drury and Brittany Rachelle Stevens (husband Josey) Toll, both of Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, Avery Jane Drury, Edward "Lock" Lockwood Drury, and Evelyn "Evie" Ruth Toll; five brothers, Larry (Kathy) Stevens, Rickey Stevens, Forrest (Tina) Stevens, Ronnie (Kathy) Stevens, and Brent (Sherry) Stevens, all of Lawrenceburg; two brothers-in-law, Gary Thor of Florida and Tony Royalty of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 beginning at 11:00 AM at the Van Buren Church of Christ, 1521 Van Buren Rd., Lawrenceburg, KY. Matt Ashby and Kent Stevens will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in Best Cemetery in Anderson County.  Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Monday, Jan. 8th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home and after 10 AM until time of service on Tuesday at Van Buren Church of Christ.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie's brothers, Larry, Rickey, Forrest, Ronnie and Brent Stevens, and his nephews Adam Stevens and Aaron Stevens.
