Douglas Paul Stumbo, 63, husband of Sandie Riley Stumbo, passed away on December 21, 2025, at his home in Lawrenceburg, KY. Born August 30, 1962, in Newark, OH, he was the son of the late Paul Ray Stumbo and Beverly Kay Cavin Stumbo.

Doug attended Monterey Baptist Church and was a graduate of Franklin County High School. He retired from Accuromm USA Inc., where he dedicated years of service as a maintenance supervisor. Doug enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and took great pride in grilling and smoking meat for family and friends. He generously shared his time and talents by cooking and volunteering with the Mothers of Brothers Anderson County football boosters. Above all, Doug's greatest joy in life was his grandchildren, who were truly the light of his life.

Including his wife, Sandie, Doug is survived by his son, Brian (Tara) Stumbo of Lexington, KY; his stepchildren, Tyler Thomas of Lawrenceburg, KY, and Hannah (Cody) Thomas of Wallingford, KY; his five grandchildren, Kamden Stumbo, Knox Stumbo, Oliver Thomas, Gunner Duncan, and Paisley Duncan; his brother-in-law, Jerry Bailey; and his childhood friend, Charles Brock.

Along with his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Ellen Bailey.

Cremation was chosen. A Celebration of Life gathering to honor Doug will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at American Legion Post 34, 725 West Broadway Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky 40342. All family and friends are invited to attend and share in remembering and celebrating his life.
