Dorothy "Dottie" Mae Shouse Rowland, age 86, wife of the late Marion Rowland, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023.  Dottie was born August 5, 1936 in Shelbyville, KY to the late Lindsey Shouse and Bertha Guy Temple.

Dottie was a retired employee with Rand McNally, and a member of Graefenburg Baptist Church.  She was also a former foster mother, homemaker, farmers wife, and loved to help others anyway she could.  She enjoyed flower arranging, gardening, cooking, fishing and yard sales.

She is survived by a son, Wesley Allen of Shelbyville; two daughters, Angela Lewis (Robert) of Frankfort, and Teresa Summitt (James) of Lawrenceburg;  step-sons, David Rowland and Dale Rowland, both of Ohio;  a step-daughter, Diane Rowland of Michigan;  three sisters, Joyce Owens (Frosty) of Waddy, Betty Price of Shelbyville, and Pat Bailey (Mike) of Frankfort;  eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Including her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Tony Temple and David Allen; a step-son, Danny Rowland;  a sister, Linda Rogers, and daughter-in-law Linda Allen.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, with Bro. Roy Temple, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. till time of service at 1:00 P.M, Wednesday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Wesley Allen, James Summitt, Jeremiah Allen, Bob Lewis, Dylan Lewis, and Andrew Temple. Honorary bearers will be Robert Lewis, Davey Allen, and Grant Temple.
