Dorothy Marie Walls Young, 79, widow of Ernie Bruce Young passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017. Born September 6, 1937 in Lincoln County, KY, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Clayton and Ella Mae Rose Walls.

A housewife most of her adult life, Dorothy in her more recent years enjoyed spending time with her sisters. She formerly attended the Ballard Baptist Church.

Dorothy is survived by her three sons, Bruce (Kay) Young of Frankfort, Gary (Lisa) Young and Darrell (Becky) Young, all of Lawrenceburg; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Dale, Brandon, Amanda, Jamie, Sarah, Joey and Alisha; 11 great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Satterly, Ann Hardin, and Roxie Boswell. Along with her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Riley and Nora Walls.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 7 ^th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 – 1 on Tuesday.
