Doris McBride Vittitow, age 89, wife of the late Joseph H. Vittitow, Sr., passed away, Tuesday, January 4, 2022.  Doris was born January 24, 1932 in Louisville, KY to the late Edward C. McBride, Sr. and Maude Coleman McBride.

Including her husband and parents, Doris was preceded in death by a brother, Edward C. McBride, Jr.

Doris was a retired secretary with Kentucky State Government, a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, and enjoyed fishing.  Doris loved to cook and bake, and was awarded the "Silver Spoon" award for her Maple Chiffon Pie.   She was a very caring person and loved by everyone that was blessed to have known her.

Doris is survived by her son, David Jones and wife Linda of Eddyville, KY;   her daughter, Pam Greer and husband Pat of Bagdad, KY;  step-children, Mary Pat Townsend (Doug), Samuel Mark Vittitow and Fred Vittitow (Kathy Mills), all of Lawrenceburg, Katie Helken (Marty) of Alaska, Robert David Vittitow (Mickie) of Virginia, Jesse Bernard Vittitow of Lexington and Joseph H. Vittitow, Jr. of Indiana;  grandchildren, Kevin Greer (Ashley) of LaGrange and Steven Greer of Crestwood, along with several other special grandchildren and great grandchildren;  two brothers, Kenneth Ray McBride (Cindy) of Louisiana and Bill Meyers (Teresa) of Oregon.

A Celebration of Doris's life will be held at a later date.
