Donald R. Powers, 84, husband of 64 years to Glenda Hardcastle Powers, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020.  Born February 17, 1936 in Bowling Green, KY, Don was the son of the late Charles Watson Powers and Violet Ernestine Seewing Powers.

Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Tambra Powers.

Don was a retired Captain with the Kentucky State Police and served as a deputy sheriff for former Anderson County Sheriff Harold Cornish.  A member of the Alton Baptist Church, Don served his church in many capacities including Deacon Emeritus.

Including his wife, Don is survived by his two children, Donald Brett Powers of Cape Coral, FL and Donna Denise (husband Steven) Wecker of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Amy Powers Bailey, Brett Travis Powers, Amanda Powers (Tyler) McCarley, Alex Jordan Riley, and Arianne Paulina Riley; and five great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Ellcessor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
