Donald Benjamin "Benny" Cox, 50, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. Born November 19, 1966 in Versailles, KY, Benny was the son of the late Clarence Roger Cox and Wilma Joyce Crowe Cox.

Benny enjoyed fishing and formerly worked as a self-employed carpenter, painter, fencing, and small engine repair.

Benny is survived by six children, Benjamin Thomas Cox and Paul William Harlow, both of Lawrenceburg, Jock Allen Cox of Nebraska, Phillip Daniel Cox and Clarence Patrick Cox, both of Somerset, and Zachary Tyler Cox of Frankfort; a sister, Judy Cox Dean and a brother, Paul Lee Cox, both of Lawrenceburg; an aunt, Juanita King of Versailles; and an uncle, J.R. (Dian) Cox of Bowling Green.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Jean "Sissy" Cox and two brothers, William Henry "Billy" Cox and Roger Phillip Cox.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 18 ^th beginning at 11:00 AM at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Andrade officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Friday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Cox, Paul Harlow, Paul Cox, Stedman Norton, James Hill, and Scott Hatchett.
