Don Cox Funeral Service Broadcast

Don Blair Cox, 65, husband of Tamela Michelle Dean Cox, passed away April 15, 2024 at his home in Lawrenceburg.  Born in Frankfort, KY on August 31, 1958, Don was the son of the late Elbert Raymond Cox and Arlene Belle Gaines Phillips.

A graduate of Anderson County High School, Don formerly worked as a forklift driver at General Cable and previously an employee of L & N Glass.  He served his country as a Sergeant in the US Army.   A member of the Family Worship Center, he enjoyed fishing and scraping.  But most of all loved his kid, grandkids and his mother-in-law.

Including Tamela, his wife of 21 years, he is survived by a son, Jasper (wife Patricia) Perry; a daughter, Arlena Cox; grandchildren, J.D. Perry, Lane Perry, and Blair Thomas; a sister-in-law, Tricia Curtsinger; and his mother and father-in-law, Sheryl and Jim Duke.  Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brothers, Willie Cox, Ranzel Cox, Hollis Ray Cox, Raymond Junior Phillips, and Hugh Phillips.

Visitation will be 4 – 7 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2024 followed by a funeral service beginning at 7:00 PM Wednesday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Pastor Tony Andrade and Bro. David Green will officiate the service.

Burial with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County, KY.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jasper Perry, Stevie Cox, Danny Ray Cox, Cody Curtsinger, Brandon Curtsinger, and Lee Curtsinger.  Honorary bearers will be Dylan Cox, Brayden Foley, Jordan Cox, J.D. Perry, Lane Perry, Blair Thomas, Dakota Curtsinger, Sam Sea, Arlena Cox and Lashae Curtsinger.
