James Donald "Don" Cooper, 89, husband of the late Kathleen Stratton Cooper, passed away March 27, 2023 at his home.  Born in Anderson County on November 11, 1933, Don was a son of the late James Arthur Cooper and Sarah Alice Perry Cooper.

Along with his wife and parents, Don was preceded in death by two sons, Gene Alan Cooper and John Kelly Cooper, a great granddaughter, Cara Grace Cooper, and two sisters, Margaret Perry and Peggy Cooper Henderson.

Known for hard work on his farm on Corinth Road in Anderson County, Don formerly worked at Universal Fasteners and retired as an employee of IBM.  He was a lifelong member of Corinth Christian Church and his hobbies were hard work and fishing.

Don is survived by two sons, Larry (wife Shirley) Cooper and Terry (Janet) Cooper, both of Lawrenceburg; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Cooper of Mackville; 11 grandchildren, Tabitha Lynn Cooper, Jim (Kayla) Cooper, Chad (Lauren) Cooper, Emily (Charles) Luttrell, Joshua (Nicole) Cooper, Michael (Hayley) Cooper, Laura Cooper, Will (Emi) Cooper, Sara (Bart) Price, Amanda (Jason) Hayes, Audrey (Junior) Pauleus; 24 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Maxine (Gary) Stinnett and Patsy Ann Cooper.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Corinth Christian Church, 1011 Corinth Rd., Lawrenceburg, KY.  Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 – 8 PM and after 9 AM on Wednesday, all at Corinth Christian Church.
