Dewight Oliver Shular, 75, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born February 18, 1943 in Indianapolis, IN, Dewight as the son of the late Alma Huckleberry Lock. Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Katherine Shular.

Dewight was a retired brakeman, switchman, and conductor with Norfolk Southern Railroad following 35 years of service. He was a founding member of the Royal Arch Chapter of the Kentucky Widow Sons, a member of the Anderson Masonic Lodge #90 and the Mt. Eden Masonic Lodge #263. He was a Ham Radio Operator, a member of the N.R.A., and enjoyed riding motorcycles and flying remote controlled airplanes.

He is survived by his two sons, Chris (Brandi) Shular of Lawrenceburg and Darrel (Marjorie) Shular of Mt. Eden; two grandchildren, Jacob and Tanner Shular; three sisters, Tamara Dana McCoy of St. Louis, Vanessa Alene (John) Stillwell of Vermont, and Lisa Louise Lane of California.

Masonic Rites and a funeral service will be held on Monday, July 23 ^rd at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home beginning at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be held prior to the services on Monday from 4 – 7 PM.  Cremation will follow the services.
