Delphia Rogers Thomas, age 77, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at her residence. Born on April 7, 1947, in Floyd County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Azzie Rogers and Reathel Salisibury Rogers.

In addition to her parents, Delphia was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Scott and her brother, Burnis Rogers.

Delphia, a devoted homemaker, had a deep passion for fishing, often finding peace and joy by the water. She was an avid angler who cherished the quiet rhythm of casting her line and the thrill of reeling in a catch. Delphia also enjoyed collecting knives, gardening, and canning the fresh vegetables she grew with care. A talented cook, her fried green tomatoes were a family favorite, but it was her collection of special recipes that she held most dear. These recipes were more than just dishes to her—they were a reflection of her love and tradition, passed down through the generations. Delphia treasured spending quality time with her sisters, whether on trips or simply enjoying each other's company. Family reunions were a highlight of her life, where she reveled in the joy of being surrounded by those she loved. Delphia's boundless love for her family, combined with her many passions, leaves behind a legacy of warmth, care, and joy.

Delphia is survived by her partner, Frank Lyson of Belleville, MI; her children, Angel Brimm (husband Norman) of Lawrenceburg, KY, and Darren Thomas (wife Robin) of Farmington Hills, MI; her grandchildren, Samantha Scott, Jake Scott, Corey Thomas, Darrien Thomas, Payton Baum, Ella Baum, Presley Brimm, and Grayson Brimm; 10 sisters; and 4 brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Ms. Thomas chose cremation.
