Deborah Kays Funeral Service

Deborah Marie Hopper Kays, age 72, wife of the late Conley F. Kays, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 in Lawrenceburg.  Deborah was born July 9, 1951 in Versailles, KY to the late Charles Hopper and Virginia Propes Hopper.

Deborah was a former cashier with Minute Mart in Lawrenceburg.  She enjoyed crafts, fishing, camping and anything outdoors.   Her family was her greatest joy, especially her grandchildren.

Deborah is survived by her daughter, Amanda Kays of Frankfort; her grandchildren, LaKeisha Kays (Coti Perkins) of Frankfort, Jeremy Braden Kays of Lawrenceburg and Jazmin Starr Grantham of Frankfort;  her siblings, Charles Wesley Hopper (Donna) of Salvisa, DeeDee Jane Harvey (Ronald) of Lawrenceburg, Kandy White of Lawrenceburg, Elzie Hopper (Jeanette) of Mercer County, Michael Earnest Hopper (Kaye) of Frankfort, Ezra Lawrence Hopper (Cindy) of Perryville, Robin Teresa Overstreet (Ed Lay) of Harrodsburg, Cathy Charlene Hopper (Walter Carmickle ) of Harrodsburg, Jeffrey Hopper (Donna) of Lawrenceburg and Joanie Mitchell (Junior) of Shelbyville; and her sweet little  fur baby, Indy.

Including her husband and parents, Deborah was preceded in death by Jennilee Starr Hopper and Frank Wayne Hopper.

Funeral service will be 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. till the time of service at 7:00 P.M.
