Funeral Service Broadcast for David Wells

David Wells, age 78, passed away to his heavenly home on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, KY. Born in Georgetown, KY on August 10, 1946, David was the son of the late Orville and Pearl Wells.

David was a Mechanic most of his life for both work and pleasure. In his earlier years, he was employed as a diesel mechanic by W.T. Young and Lexington Cartage and as a driver for Palumbo Lumber, all in Lexington. He also worked as a tobacco farmer with his father and brother throughout most of his life. Those that knew David, would say that he had a great sense of humor, loved life, loved conversing with people and never met a stranger. One thing that specifically stood out was that he treated everyone with respect regardless of their stature. David had a large family who he loved dearly. There was also a special place in his heart for his six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

David is survived by two children, Lori Casey (Martin), and Heather Agee (Robbie) all of Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren, Brittney Gray (Zachary), Hannah Agee, Robert Agee, Josh Casey, Rachel Casey, all of Lawrenceburg, and Abby Hanley of Frankfort; siblings, Phillp Wells, Mike Wells (Brenda), Hope Sons, and Marjorie Whitlock all of Lexington; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Including his parents, David was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Wells.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery in Georgetown, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service on Friday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robbie Agee, Josh Casey, Martin Casey, Jacob Gariepy, Steve Gariepy, and Matthew Wells.
