LAWRENCEBURG – David Ray Rose, 57, passed away suddenly Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center, Frankfort, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents John Jesse and Burneda Popplewell Rose and a brother Robert L. Rose.

David was born August 21, 1956 in New Castle, IN. He currently worked as a finish carpenter for the Thomas D. Clark Kentucky History Museum and for Pickett Homes of Lexington. He was a KY Master Angler, a KY Colonel, and attended the Ninevah Christian Church. David enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, gardening, and wood working.

David is survived by his wife of 19 years, Laura Welsh Rose; five children, Jodi (Ben) Blackburn of Frenchburg, KY, Erin (Mark) Harrell of Frankfort, KY, Shawn R. Miller, David L. Rose, and Cory Owens, all of Pendleton, IN; four grandchildren, Annabel, Levi, Trey, and Elliotte; one great grandchild, Elin; three siblings, Angela Faye Rose (Charles Leon) Crabtree of Greenfield, IN, John J. (Dottie) Rose of Nicholasville, KY, and Ruth M. (Larry) Lynch of Fostoria, OH; a sister-in-law, Jane Rose of Spiceland, IN; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A celebration of David's life will be held 11 am Tuesday, June 10th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home led by Bro. Terry Cooper and Frederick Rodney Welsh. Visitation will be 5 – 8 pm Monday. Cremation will follow services.

Honorary bearers will be Andrew, Ryan, and Mitch McRoy, Robert L. Lynch, Dr. Steve Rose, Mike and Lucas Rose, Chuck and Chris Crabtree, and Fredrick Welsh.
