David Earl Rains, Jr., age 39, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026 in Frankfort, KY. David was born March 27, 1987 in Woodford County, KY to David Earl Rains, Sr. and the late Teresa Susan Tucker Rains.

David was of the Baptist faith and a former butcher with Lawrenceburg Save-a-Lot. David loved the outdoors and kept himself busy mowing grass and working in anything that had to do with the outdoors.

Including his father, David is survived by his sons, Levi Hunter Rains and Luke Owen Rains; his sister, Betty Auer (Matt) of Williamsburg, KY; his nieces, Zoey Auer & Addison Auer; and numerous friends in Lawrenceburg.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY 40342 with Bro. Kenny Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Midway Cemetery, Midway, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 Noon till time of service at 2:00 P.M.
