Dauser J. Rutherford, 80, husband of Bonnie Beloise Hamilton Rutherford, passed away October 9, 2021 at Frankfort Care and Rehab Center in Frankfort, KY.  Born May 30, 1941 in Takoma, WA, Dauser was the son of the late Wheeler Judge Rutherford and Ella Elizabeth Young Rutherford.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Doris Rutherford, David Rutherford, Rayvon Rutherford, Dee David Rutherford, William Rutherford, Dorothy Bond, and Carolyn Shewmaker.

A retired building contractor, he was a current member of the Graefenburg United Methodist Church and a former lay minister at several United Methodist Churches.  He also formerly served as Head of the Board and assistant minister at the Abundant Life Christian Center.  His many hobbies included dirt track racing, fishing, and watching Pit Boss.

Including Bonnie, his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his children, Dr. Maria Christina Rutherford of Franklin County and Jerry Scott (wife Connie) Rutherford of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, Kimberly Jewell Moore and Jacob Ryan Rutherford; two great grandchildren, Esiason Moore and Everhett Moore; a brother, Richard Rutherford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family burial will be held prior to public services in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

A public visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14 ^th from 5 – 7 PM followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM Thursday at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Eaton and Robert Cable officiating.
