Darlene H. Flannery Ellis, age 73, wife of the late Ronald Earl Ellis, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025 in Lawrenceburg. Darlene was born September 3, 1951 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Richard Flannery and Thelma Kiser Flannery.

Darlene was a member of the Lawrenceburg Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Lyons Club. She was a very loving and kind Christian and showed it by helping others in any way they may need.  Darlene was a hard worker and held many different titles in her lifetime.  She went from obtaining her GED to being the first female in Kentucky to hold the title of Master Plumber.  She received her master's degree in nursing and from there she held the position of director of nursing at Bradford Square in Frankfort as well as several other facilities. Darlene was also a former Federal Inspector for Health and Human Services with the United States Federal Government. Darlene cherished and deeply loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, a job she cherished the most.

Darlene is survived by her sons, Ronnie Ellis and his wife Jennifer and Michael Ellis, all of Lawrenceburg; her grandchildren, Courtney Nichols Willoughby and husband Nick and Jonathan Ellis; her great grandchildren, Camden and Casen Willoughby; a sister, Rose Rhodus of Nicholasville, KY; and a brother, Joe Flannery of Lexington, KY.

Including her parents and husband, Darlene was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Gilley; and a brother, Mike Flannery.

No public services are scheduled.
