Corinne P. Herndon, 89, wife of the late Allen Searcy Herndon, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Signature Healthcare Heritage Hall. Born November 17, 1928 in Anderson County, KY, Corinne was the daughter of the late Vege Perry and Stella Mae (Tipton) Perry.

Corinne was a life-long member of Corinth Christian Church where she played piano for 57 years. She was a huge Anderson County Bearcat fan and loved gospel music. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Anderson County Senior Citizens Center and Heritage Hall. Corinne enjoyed cattle-farming and served as a 4H and FFA leader.

Corinne is survived by her children, Connie Allen Herndon (Michael Atkins) of Lincoln, NE and John (Stephanie) Herndon of Lawrenceburg, KY; six grandchildren, Joshua Ainsley of New York City, NY, Mary Hill of Frankfort, KY, Hannah Ainsley-Wall of New York City, NY, Caleb Herndon of Frankfort, KY, Sarah Llewellyn of Louisville, KY, and McKenzi Herndon of Lawrenceburg, KY; step-grandson, Zackary Kauffeld of Owensboro, KY; seven great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 15 th beginning at 3:30 PM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Nelson Lee officiating and assisted by Matt Sawyer and George Smith. Burial will follow in the Corinth Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-8 PM Saturday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Col. Paul T. Ryan (Ret.), Morgan Herndon, Maurice Cinnamon, Connie Drury, Jeff Young, and Roger Carlton.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies Circle from Corinth Christian Church.

In Lieu of flowers, it is suggested that and memorial contributions be made to Corinth Christian Church, 1011 Corinth Road, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342 or Mid-Atlantic Christian University, 715 N. Poindexter Street, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
