Connie June Carter Montgomery, 74, wife of Kenneth H. Montgomery, passed away June 20, 2022 at the U.K. Hospital.  Born in Mercer County, KY on November 13, 1947, Connie was the daughter of the late Wallace L. Carter and Verdie Marie Riley Carter.

Connie was a homemaker and a member of the Ballard Baptist Church.  Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandbabies and great grandbabies.  She enjoyed feeding hummingbirds, raising and sharing items from her garden, yard sales, listening to old country music and watching Gunsmoke and The Andy Griffith Show, cooking and fixing lunch for her son, Alan.  Connie kept a notebook of her daily activities and greatly loved her family's farm.

Including her husband Kenneth of 57 years, she is survived by children, Janet (Tim) Schell of Lawrenceburg and Alan (Misty) Montgomery of Willisburg; five grandbabies, Sarah Lynn (AJ) Snipes, Megan Schell (Aaron Kinne), Aaron Thomas (Tate) Schell, Isaiah  Montgomery, Nathaniel Montgomery; four great grandbabies, Ben, Koen, and Lincoln Snipes, and Ellison Kinne; and her siblings, Ann (Tom) Harper, Linda (Harold) Byrd, Dottie (Don) Hunter, and W.L. (Sharon) Carter, all of Lawrenceburg.  She was preceded in death by a grandbaby Tina Marie Schell and a brother Mike Carter.

Visitation will be 11 – 1 Thursday followed by the service beginning at 1:00 PM Thursday at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Bro. Jerry Montgomery will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Thomas Schell, Isaiah and Nathaniel Montgomery, Aaron Kinne, AJ Snipes, and Tim Schell.
