Connie Buntain, 69, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the VA Medical Center, Lexington, KY. Born September 17, 1947 in Lexington, KY, Connie was the son of the late Herbert and Mecia Willard Buntain.

A retired machinist with Universal Fasteners, Connie served his country as a Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Connie was baptized and a former member of the Anderson Christian Church. Outdoors was his life, Connie loved hunting and fishing, was a gunsmith and never met a stranger.

Connie is survived by three children, Dawn Kurrek (Harry) Maddox, Michael (Victoria Dawn) Buntain, and Mecia N. Buntain, all of Lawrenceburg; his grandchildren, Alecia, Kristen, Micah, Sam, Brittany, Kyle, Dylon, Nathan, Noah, Madison, Mason, Myles, and Marlee; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Herbert (Debbie) Buntain, Jr. of Frankfort; and a sister, Sadie (Allen) Davis of Lawrenceburg; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Carlotta (Bill) Ritter.

Graveside services for Connie will be held Friday, June 2 ^nd beginning at 2:30 PM on the family farm at 1054 Timber Creek Road, Lawrenceburg, KY.
