Connie Sue Gaunce Adams, 66, wife of the late William Terry Adams, Sr., passed away February 27, 2026 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born in Woodford County, KY on April 22, 1959, Connie was the daughter of the late William Edward Gaunce and Clara Bell Friedly Gaunce.

Connie worked for the Kentucky Department of Tourism.  She enjoyed gambling, but most of all loved taking care of her grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her children, Alecia Ritchey and Connie Wayne Best, both of Lawrenceburg, and Terry Adams, Jr. of Alabama; her grandchildren, Alex Wayne Burton, Shawn Alan Burton, and Casey Miles Pullium Best; and her sister, Nancy (Larry) Coleman of Lawrenceburg.

Along with her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her siblings, Thelma Mae Bealer, Martha Hines, Gene Edward Gaunce, Jimmy Lee Gaunce, Billy Wayne Gaunce, Larry Dean Gaunce.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 4 – 7 PM followed by a service beginning at 7:00 PM at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. The service will be led by Bro. Noal Cotton, Jr.  A Cremation will follow the services.
