Clinton Young Funeral Service Broadcast

Clinton Delbert Young, 79, husband of Shirley Williams Young, passed away December 14, 2023 at his home in Anderson County.  Born in the Ballard area of Anderson County on December 10, 1944, Clinton was the son of Stanley Young and Nettie Ray Riley Young.

Clinton formerly worked at Ford Motor Company in Louisville, owned and operated Broadway Service Center in Lawrenceburg, worked at General Cable, and drove a school bus for the Anderson County Board of Education.  He was a member of Farmdale Baptist Church in Franklin County.  Clinton loved working on his muscle cars and mowing on his land.

Including Shirley, wife of 58 years, he is survived by his children Angie Oakey, Barry (Renee) Young, Anissa Young; five grandchildren, Dustyn Watson, Caitlyn (Christian) Gritton, Courtney Young, Cassidy Young, and Lucas Peyton; two great grandchildren, Ivory Lily Watson and Madelyn Renee Gritton; two sisters, Brenda Perry and Judy (Richard) Long; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10 am – 2 pm Thursday, December 21, 2023 followed by the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm Thursday at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Bro. Rob Ginter will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Young Family Cemetery in Anderson County.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dustyn Watson, Lucas Peyton, Christian Gritton, Josh Satterly, Troy Abell, and Daryl Young.
