Connie Clifford Royalty, 81, husband of 61 years to Bonnie Riley Royalty, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Signature Healthcare – Heritage Hall in Lawrenceburg. Born July 2, 1936 in Mercer County, KY, Clifford was the son of the late Elmer Elwood Royalty and Mary Will Brown Royalty.

Clifford was a 1955 graduate of Salvisa High School, a former Edward Sausage employee and retired following 25 years with IBM. He was a member and deacon emeritus at Sand Spring Baptist Church where he was active leading music at Heritage Hall church services and visiting the shut-ins, hospitals, and nursing homes. Clifford was instrumental in helping to start the bus ministry in the early 1970's at Sand Spring. He and Bonnie are members of the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class. He enjoyed auctions, gardening, playing horse shoes, woodworking, especially making rein deer, and formerly coached his sons in little league baseball.

Along with his wife, Clifford is survived by his three children, Kevin (Saletta) Royalty of Benton, KY, Steven (Dawn) Royalty of Lawrenceburg, and Andrea Royalty (Steven) Campbell of Lancaster, SC; his three granddaugthers, Caitlyn (Tyler) Smith, Jessica Royalty, and Carsyn Campbell; his brother, Donald Wayne (Brenda) Royalty of Harrodsburg; and his brother-in-law Don Stiglich of Harrodsburg. Including his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Stiglich.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 22nd beginning at 11 AM at the Sand Spring Baptist Church, 1616 Harrodsburg Rd., Lawrenceburg, KY. Dr. Mike Hamrick will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Sand Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 – 8 PM and on Wednesday from 9 – 11 AM at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Smith, Dennis Stiglich, Carroll Sutherland, Bob Abshire, Dudley Hanks, and Scott Williams. Honorary bearers will be Dale Royalty, Hartford Sexton, Bobby Christerson, Harold Coulter, Al Abner, and the Deacons of Sand Spring Baptist Church.
