FRANKFORT – Charlotte Smith Hood, 78, wife of 59 years to Robert E. "Bob" Hood, passed away December 3, 2020 at her home.  Born June 19, 1942 in Frankfort, Charlotte was the daughter of the late James Gilbert and Ann Green Smith.

Charlotte retired as the office manager for Bluegrass Regional Mental Health in Frankfort and was a member of the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church.  She and her husband enjoyed traveling following their retirements.

Along with her husband, Charlotte is survived by her two sons, Tim Hood and his wife Stephanie and Chris Hood and his wife Katie; three granddaughters, Brianna S. Hood, Kelsie G. Hood, and Alyson C. Sewel; and three brothers, James R. Smith and his wife Sandra, Robert G. Smith and his wife Mary, and Michael S. Smith.

Private services will be observed at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Charlotte's family will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, Building Fund, 495 Duckers Road, Midway, KY 40347.

To abide by the regulations set forth by the State of Kentucky all persons attending a visitation or funeral (public or private) will be required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.  Twenty five people, chosen by the family may attend the services at the funeral home/church will be in practice.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
