Funeral Service Broadcast for Charles B. Wells
Charles B. Wells, 92, husband of the late Charlotte Brisbin Wells, passed away February 6, 2025 at Baptist Health Lexington. Born in Auxier, KY on February 2, 1933, Charles was the son of the late Leonard Wells and Carrie Music Wells.
Along with his wife and parents, Charles was preceded in death by a son, Chuck Wells; a grandson, William Derrick Wells; and siblings, Laura Wells, Ronald Wells, Lloyd Wells, and Dr. James "Jimmy" Wells.
Charles worked as a tooling engineer with IBM for over 35 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Following his retirement, he and his wife spent time in Florida and were members of the Anderson Christian Church. Charles enjoyed fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his two sons, Les (wife Karen) Wells and Greg (wife Jennifer) Wells, both of Lawrenceburg; seven grandchildren, Sean (Alisha) Wells, Brian Wells (Ashley Mattingly), Tamra (Mark) Walz, Aaron (Katelyn) Wells, Jordyn Wells, Cheyenne (Douglas) Bowman, Dakota (Jordyn) Wells; 10 great grandchildren; and two siblings, Jean Hunt and Tommy (wife Jackie) Wells.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 14, 2025 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Wells officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Thursday and after 10 AM on Friday.
Serving as pallbearers will be Sean Wells, Brian Wells, Aaron Wells, Dakota Wells, Barry Smith, and Toby Wells. Honorary bearers will be Tommy Wells and Wallace Thompson.
