Charles Lillard Searcy, 84, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020.  Charles was the husband of 55 years to Nileeta Kay Shely Searcy, and was born June 7, 1936 in Anderson County, KY to the late Sherman and Helen Potts Searcy.

Including his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Searcy

Charles was a member of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church.  He was the former owner of Searcy's Market, former employee of Universal Fasteners and Bourbon Stock Yards.  He enjoyed music, antique cars and feeding his many stray cats.

Including his wife, Charles is survived by a sister, Mary Frances Lisby (husband Ernest) of Waddy;  brothers, Collis Searcy of Mt. Eden, and Forrest Searcy (wife Mary Ann) of Frankfort;  and brother-in-law, Jerry Shely (wife Regina) of Anderson County.

Private services will be observed at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral home with Bro. Roy Temple, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Best Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Forrest Searcy, Collis Searcy, Doug Searcy, Joey Searcy, Gary Nethery and Eddie Stevens.

To abide by the regulations set forth by the State of Kentucky all persons attending a visitation or funeral (public or private) will be required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.  Twenty five people, chosen by the family may attend the services at the funeral home/church will be in practice.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
