Charles Newsome Service Broadcast

Charles Edward Newsome, 82, husband of the late Marie Toler Newsome, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at his home.  Born in Floyd County, KY on Oct. 21, 1939, Charles was the son of the late Noah Newsome and Gertrude Tackett Newsome.

A drywaller by trade, Charles operated and owned Newsome Drywall for over 35 years.  He was a member of the Wheels of Time Car Club and enjoyed fishing and his numerous pets over the years.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Harley and her husband David of Lawrenceburg; a special nephew whom he raised, Chris (Jamie) Hobbs and Chris' children, Logan (Morgan) Hobbs and Caitlin Hobbs, and Logan's son, Owen Hobbs; a sister, Bobbie Hampton of Lexington; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Oma Tabor, Frances Greer, Noah Newsome, Jr., Josephine Collins, Fred Newsome, Jimmy Newsome, and Don Newsome.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, Dec. 16 ^th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Andrade officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sand Spring Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Newsome, Donnie Campbell, Eric Coffman, Randy Chrisman, Ryan Chrisman, and Jason Satterly.  Members of the Wheels of Time Car Club will serve as honorary bearers.
