Charles C. Dooley, 65, of Lawrenceburg formerly of Lexington, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at his home. He was the son of Jean Brown Dooley of Lexington and the late Vernon Lee Dooley.

Charles was born July 23, 1948 in Taylor County, KY. A 1975 graduate of University of Kentucky with a B.S. degree in Pharmacy and retired in 1996 as a pharmacist for Rite Aid in Lexington. A member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church in Versailles and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. His many hobbies included chess, reading, and genealogy research.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Jane Gee Dooley, three children, Meredith N. Dooley of Louisville, Chris (Jennifer) Dooley of Rincon, GA, and David (Jamie) Dooley of Melbourne, FL; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Anna, and Ella Dooley; two brothers, Terry (Kathy) Dooley of Campbellsville, and Darrell (Tiny) Dooley of Lewisburg; 6 nephews and 2 nieces; and a brother-in-law, Richard (Kathy) Gee of Lawrenceburg. A grandson, Rowan Faith Dooley, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday, July 6th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Johnson and Bro. Dave Menser officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 – 2 pm Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to Fellowship Baptist Church or the Association of Frontal Temporal Degeneration.
