Catherine Thompson Roach, 96, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016. She was born September 18, 1920 in Hamilton, Ohio to Luther and Sadie Allison Thompson.

Catherine is survived by five children, Mary Lou Clem (Lloyd), Robert Roach (Charlotte), Coleman Roach, Lois Pulliam (Douglas), and Jane Sims (Donnie), numerous grandchildren and sisters, Letha Connaughton and Betty Corum. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Roach, and siblings, Jack Dempsey and Elizabeth Dempsey Gore.

Most of her life was lived in Bald Knob community of Franklin County where she graduated from Bald Knob High School in 1939. She worked for the Kentucky Department of Parks for 20 years.

Catherine was a member of Ninevah Christian Church in Lawrenceburg. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family. She had an adventuresome spirit, always ready to learn and do new things.

Visitation will be Monday, November 14, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg.
