Catherine "Kitty" Riddle Funeral Service Broadcast

CATHERINE "KITTY" BOWMAN RIDDLE, 90, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the home of her daughter in Lawrenceburg. Born and raised in Woodford County, KY, on April 27, 1933, Kitty was the daughter of William Alonzo Bowman and Stella Mae Bowman. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Brown Riddle (father of youngest daughter), and her first husband, Robert Forrest Phillips, (father of her eldest four children).

Including her husbands and parents, Kitty was preceded in death by her (12) siblings, Lawrence Douglas Bowman, Edith Marticia Bowman Carter, Anetta Mae Bowman Robinson, William Alonzo Bowman, Jr., Alford Edwin Bowman, Lora June Bowman Serber, John Martin Bowman, Lila Pearl Bowman Goins, Laura Amsden Bowman Robinson, Kelly Kenneth Bowman (her twin brother), Alma Jean Bowman Warford and Goldie Winford Bowman.

Kitty was a retired employee with National Distillery. Her beautiful smile, welcoming spirit and wonderful sense of humor was infectious. She was the center of the family and was at her happiest when accompanied by her family. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. She loved to listen to music, dance, was an excellent seamstress, and restored antique dolls and toys to perfection.

Kitty is survived by her (5) children; Robert Keith Phillips (wife Cindy Shryock), Sandra Lynn Phillips Milburn (husband Tommie Milburn), both of Lawrenceburg, Rita Carol Phillips Rousseau (deceased husband, Paul) of Virginia Beach, VA, Anna Katherine "Kathy" Phillips Trent (husband Bill Trent) of Stamping Ground, KY, and Stacy Renee Gomez (husband Andres Felipe Gomez) of Pompano Beach, FL.; her (9) grandchildren, Starr Hodel, Mone't Phillips, Ryan Thomas Milburn, Kris Jordan Milburn, Emily Shanna Drury Travis, Robert Neil Estep, Kyle Lucas Estep, Cara Lindsey Sullivan Popp and Lily Danielle Downs; her (13) great grandchildren, Robert William Hodel, Alexander James Hodel, Mason Hunter Milburn, Asher Kelly Milburn, Kinley Rae Milburn, Reid Thomas Milburn, Grady Cole Milburn, Kerinna Gabrielle Drury Bates, Phillip Charles Travis, Cheyenne Riley Estep, Chloe May Davis, Steven Tyler Popp and Savannah Grace Popp; her (5) great-great grandchildren, Addison Rose Sharp, Brantley Wayne Sharp, Emma Elizabeth Bates, Ian Scott Bates and Jaxon Briggs Travis; and her (1) sister, Anna Belle Bowman Gill (age 99).

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on SUNDAY, JANUARY 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the service beginning at 1:00PM at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 North Main Street, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342 (Telephone 502-839-5151). Kitty's nephew, Kenny Robinson, will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery in Stamping Ground, KY.
