Carolyn Jean Waugh Dixon, 83, wife of Billy N. Dixon, passed away August 22, 2023 at her home in Lawrenceburg.

Born in Elkins, West Virginia on Dec. 13, 1939, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Dennis Pitt Stalnaker and Mae Eve Booth.

A devoted wife, mom and Mamaw, Carolyn was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Shelby County and a retired 34-year employee of Rand McNally in Versailles.

Including Billy, her husband of 61 years, she is survived by her daughter, Mariena Jodie Oates of Frankfort and a grandson, Franklin Beasley of Frankfort.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 25, 2023 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery, Shelby County, KY.  Bro. Josh Rucker will officiate the service.
