Carla Diane Sparrow, 31, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the U.K. Medical Center. Born June 21, 1985 in Versailles, KY, Carla is the daughter of Rhonda Day Sparrow of Lawrenceburg and Joseph Harold Sparrow of Lawrenceburg.

Carla was the recipient of a heart transplant 8 years ago at the University of Kentucky. She was currently attending Bluegrass Community and Technical College studying nursing and human resources. She was a former C.N.A. at Heritage Hall Care Center and an employee of Stewart Home School. She attended the Old Country Church in Spencer County.

Along with her parents, Carla is survived by her husband, Michael L. Wright of Lexington; three children Michael Blake Wright, Bryce Tyler Wright, and Colton Lee Wright, all of Lawrenceburg; a sister, Nikki (Robert) Walker of Lawrenceburg; and a half brother, Joe (Jackie) Cook of NC.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, Sept. 2nd at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Pastor Don Carter and Pastor Debbie Peach officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Thursday.
