Bronson Leon Proctor, 79, of Lawrenceburg, husband of the late Margaret Katherine Scanlon Proctor, passed away September 9, 2021 after a courageous battle with diabetes at Baptist Health Lexington.

Born in Mercer County on October 5, 1941 son of the late James Henry Proctor and Bertha Geneva Phillips Proctor.  Bronson was the father of four sons and a retired Building Contractor with 40 plus years of service.  He will be remembered long after his passing for the love and generosity he showed to his family and friends.

Bronson was known for how he loved the simplest pleasurers in life such as hunting, fishing, gardening, bee keeping and farming.  He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church and loved the Lord first and foremost.

Survivors to treasure his memory include two sons, Darryl (wife Alice) Proctor and Jason (wife Kristen) Proctor, both of Lawrenceburg; 10 grandchildren, Travis, Destiny, Autumn, Amanda, Kendra, Jeremy, Erica, Maddison, Jonathon, and Brittany; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Gala June Oliver, James Paul (Marsha) Proctor, Jackie Carol (Kenneth) Trent, and Sheila Jane (David) Wood.

Along with his wife and parents, Bronson was preceded in death by two sons, Rodney Proctor and Mark Proctor; and two sisters, Barbara Ann Proctor and Cheryl Jean Best.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 15 ^th from 11 am – 2 pm followed by the service beginning at 2:00 pm at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Temple Jr. and Bro. Bryan Proctor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Proctor, Travis Proctor, Dennis Wainscott, Brian Calvert, Kendall Trent, and Jacob Trent.  Honorary bearers will be Thomas Chapman, John Wayne Conway, Wayne Bostic, George Tilson Allen, Wendell Bruce, and Bill Bollinger.
