Brigitte Lynn McClease Hay, age 49, wife of the late Edward "Eddie" Hay, passed away on April 6, 2025, in Nicholasville, KY. She was born in Frankfort, KY on December 11, 1975, to the late James William McClease and Betty Joyce Hockensmith McClease.

Brigitte was a vibrant, free-spirited soul known for bringing joy and laughter to everyone around her. Described as the life of the party, she had an infectious personality that made her a beloved friend and a source of light to all who knew her. Her selflessness, dependability, and loyalty defined her character. Brigitte had a passion for cooking, always welcoming others to share her table and enjoy her meals. Above all, she treasured her role as a mother and was a second mom to many, offering love and support without hesitation.

Along with her husband and parents, Brigitte was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Tonya Brown.

She leaves behind her children, Dee Trent and Cory Hay; grandchildren, Riley and Bentley Hay; her brother, Duane McClease; niece, Michelle Tucker (Johnathan); and great-niece and great-nephew, Cheyenne and Brody Tucker.

A Celebration of Life in Brigitte's honor will be announced by the family at a later date.
