Brenda Joyce Rucker Gritton, 77, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020.  Born February 3, 1943 in Anderson County, KY, Brenda was the daughter of the late Johnnie Lee Rucker and Virginia McGinnis Rucker.

A 1961 graduate of Western Anderson High School, Brenda retired after 27 years with Human Resources Workforce Development Division of KY State Government.  She formerly served on the Lawrenceburg City Council and was a member of the Optimist Club.  Brenda was a Kentucky Colonel and an avid music lover.

Brenda is survived by her three children, Kim Boulware (husband Ronnie) of Alexander City, AL, Jeff Gritton (wife Genevieve) of Paris, KY, and John Gritton of Vincennes, IN; 11 grandchildren, Alex Boulware, Emily Mask, Karli Boulware, Tiffany McKinney, Devin Gritton, Jacob Gritton, McKenzie Gritton, Jayden Gritton, Erika Perkins, Tyler Gritton, and Noah Gritton; 8 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Lee Brown (husband Forrest) and Anita Rose Sea (husband Gilbert), both of Lawrenceburg.

No public services will be held.  Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.
