Brenda Jane Crawley Smith, 72, wife of the late Ronald G. Smith, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the U.K. Medical Center. A native of Mercer County, Brenda was the daughter of the late Brent and Emma Durbin Crawley.

A member of the Lawrenceburg United Methodist Church, Brenda worked for the KY Dept. of Insurance, a clerk at Rite Aid, as a cosmetologist and cosmetology instructor in Frankfort.

Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Smith Tankersley and husband Mike of Highland Ranch, CO and Sharron Smith Burton and husband Joseph of Frankfort, three grandchildren, Jordan Tankersley, Brenna and Darcey Burton; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Neal and Nancy Prather. Along with her husband and parents, Brenda was also preceded in death by siblings, Manford Crawley, Isabel Moore, Lagatha Monroe, Alvin Crawley, Vernon Crawley, and Brent Crawley.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 21st at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Stigall and Al Peach officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM Monday.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Mike Tankersley, Joseph Burton, Chuck Thurman, Andy Smith, and Johnny Franklin.
