Bowen Edward Carmickle, 79, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025 at his home in Lawrenceburg.  Born in Mercer County, KY on January 17, 1946, Bowen was the son of the late Bowen Walter Carmickle and Edna Thomas Darland Carmickle.

A 1964 graduate of Anderson High School, Bowen was a farmer and formerly worked at Rand McNally in Versailles, KY.  He loved watching Westerns on television.

Bowen is survived by two sisters, Henrietta Goins of Frankfort and Betty Carmickle-Smith of Harrodsburg; a sister-in-law, Sandy Carmickle of Harrodsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Evalena "Mickey" Carmickle; two brothers, William Thomas Carmickle and James Walter Carmickle; brothers-in-law Scott Smith and Larry Goins; and a sister-in-law, George Ann Carmickle.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery Pavilion.  Bowen's nephews will serve as pallbearers.
