Robert "Bobby" Scott Whitaker, 56, husband of Carol Ann Whitaker, passed away on August 31, 2026, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, Kentucky. Born on July 31, 1970, in Versailles, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Paul Irvin Whitaker and Reva Francis Phillips Whitaker.

Bobby was an associate with Samac Painting. When he was not working, he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved hosting family get-togethers and could often be found at the grill, cooking for everyone. Bobby loved life and was known for his big smile and his enjoyment of being around the people he loved. He will be fondly remembered for the happiness he brought to those around him.

Along with his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amber Jane; an infant son Austin Scott; and a sister-in-law, Gadie Whitaker.

In addition to his wife, Carol Ann Whitaker, Bobby is survived by his children, Blake Whitaker (Whitney), Carissa Whitaker (Casey), Josh Estes (Sarah), and Brittany Fuller (Randy); his grandchildren, Ava, Olivia, and Bodie; his brothers, Mark Whitaker (Judy), Chris Whitaker, and Wayne Whitaker; his brother-in-law, Brian Hall (Kim), and sisters-in-law Lois Campbell (Ed) and Sondra Strange (Billy).

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, with Bro. Glenn Corn officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service on Friday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Whitaker, Josh Estes, Donald Perry, Sam Drake, Christopher Whitaker, and Chris Whitaker. Honorary Bearers will be Ed Gilchrist, Gaylen Denney, Whitney Beasley, Brian Hall, Doug Smith, and Thomas Smith.
